A six-panel fold-out package with liner notes from fRoots' Ian A Anderson, and two CDs, the original album on the first CD, six studio and seven live tracks on the second.
Two CDs - the original "Battle Of Wills" on the first CD and a second CD with rare tracks in a six-panel fold-out package liner notes from Tymon Dogg fan Ian A Anderson, former editor of Folk Roots / fRoots and expert on elusive musical brilliance.
All tracks have been carefully remastered, the original artwork restored (and modified to update the track listing) . . . the whole package is as fantastic as one could
hope.
With the exception of a few tracks here and there, this album has been unavailable since its 1980 release. As the last release on Dick O'Dell's Y label (also home to Slits, The Pop Group, Shriekback, Sun Ra and many of the groovier post-punk acts), the album was never easy to track down and went out of print quickly.
The bonus studio tracks include "Indestructible", the b-side to Tymon's "Lose This Skin" - one of the rarest of Clash singles, as the band wasn't even crediedt on the original 7", even though the a-side appears on their Sandinista! album, plus five other studio tracks previously found only on a now out-of-print CD called "The Irrresistible Tymon Dogg", and seven live tracks from a Tymon Dogg performance at Hurrah in New York City in 1980, captured on tape by filmmaker Merrill Aldighieri. The unreleased live performance captures a few oddities not even released in studio form, including the first-ever (prescient!) song by The 101's "Dog Dirt On Your Shoe", "Johnny Is A Wanderer" and several other choice selections.
